We’re the first to acknowledge that T-shirt manufacturing is one of the most environmentally harmful processes on the planet. Since we launched in 2016, we’ve understood the impact of all our work, and we are always working towards our mission of building a completely sustainable production and supply chain from end-to-end.
Since the start our pre-order campaign model has helped us eliminate needless deadstock, and we’ve always offered water-based inks and used animal free or vegan emulsion too. From 2020 though, we’re so excited to announce our new sustainability roadmap. An ever-evolving work in progress, at present, in terms of garments, it commits us to:
- Phasing out non-ethical garment suppliers from our offering. 92% of all T-shirts sold on our platform in April 2020 were from ethical suppliers
- Launching our own ethically produced T-shirt by Jan 2021
- Becoming climate and water positive by 2025
In the meantime, we continue to work with our ethical garment suppliers Continental and Stanley Stella to ensure we’re offering a product that is ethically sourced and produced.
Stanley and Stella are a staple choice for many campaigns launched on Everpress by ethically minded creators. They use exclusively sustainable materials and their supply and production chains are thoroughly checked and certified from end-to-end. They are a member of the Fair Wear foundation and have built a reputation for championing ethical working conditions for their garments and textile makers.
The Stanley LEADS T-shirt is a much-loved garment on Everpress and is made of 100% organic ringspun cotton. LEADS is also Global Organic Textile Standard and Fair Wear Foundation certified.
