We’re the first to acknowledge that T-shirt manufacturing is one of the most environmentally harmful processes on the planet. Since we launched in 2016, we’ve understood the impact of all our work, and we are always working towards our mission of building a completely sustainable production and supply chain from end-to-end.
Since the start, our pre-order campaign model has helped us eliminate needless deadstock. From 2020 though, we’re so excited to announce our new sustainability roadmap. An ever-evolving work in progress, at present, in terms of garments, it commits us to:
- Phasing out non-ethical garment suppliers from our offering (92% of all T-shirts sold on our platform in August 2023 were from ethical suppliers).
- Launching our own ethically produced T-shirt (which we have done. Find out more about that ethical T-shirt here).
- Becoming climate and water positive by 2025
In the meantime, we continue to work with our ethical garment suppliers to ensure we’re offering a product that is ethically sourced and produced.
THE PREMIUM CLASSIC TSHIRT & PREMIUM LONGSLEEVE
Meet our own ethically produced white T-shirt. Made at a Sedex-monitored workshop in Cairo using 200gsm organic cotton. An international, independent body, Sedex rigorously investigates workplaces according to their four pillars of: Labour Standards, Health & Safety, Environment and Business Ethics. The workshop puts its workers at the fore, from paying fair wages to providing transport and meals for all employees. What about fit? The Everpress Classic T-shirt fits perfectly true to size, and is a relaxed fit that finishes on the hip. It’s also our most inclusive tee. With sizing that runs from XXS to XXXXXL. Available in a regular fit with a round neckline, our PREMIUM CLASSIC sweatshirt is made from 85% organic cotton and 15% recycled polyester. This style is Fair Wear, OEKO-TEX®, Vegan and GOTS approved and 390 gsm.
