I’m Billy, a contemporary artist from Essex. I paints animals in relatable or absurd scenarios, creating works that are either amusing or wholesome.
While bears take the primary focus of my work, frogs, dinosaurs and other animals also frequently appear. I use these alongside ridiculous captions to try and connect with the human experience.
I am also a jelly bean enthusiast.
“You must accept the frog” is probably one of my silliest paintings. It ridiculous notion and bizarre imagery is seemingly absurd but this piece is about accepting what life gives you. I like to think this is for frog lovers and philosophers alike.
