Tim the Cheese Frog

My name is Lucracia and I live and work as a full-time artist in the Pacific Northwest. I'm lucky to live somewhere with so much natural beauty that I can draw inspiration from. I enjoy painting woodland creatures, frogs in particular. Frogs are common in many fairy tales or works about magic, and so I find myself drawn to their mysterious allure. They are also very cute, and I really enjoy giving them personalities in my work. I hope that when people view my work they feel a sense of warmth and comfort. My aim with my art is to add a little bit of happiness and whimsy to the world, however small it may be.

Tim the frog is the first frog I painted and he has made many appearances in my work since then. He's just a little guy who loves trying new things. The idea for the cheese costume came during Christmas break where I ate a good amount of mozzarella sticks and felt as if I was completely full of cheese. I thought it would be funny to put a fat frog in a block of cheese and so Tim the Cheese Frog came to be. He's still not sure how to feel about it.
