"I am Ioana (kart9) an artist currently living in Poland. I have a BA and MA in illustration but I discovered a great passion for animation in the past year. I love exploring emotional themes with my work and my biggest inspiration are people and the richness of their inner world. I am happy and grateful to be able to make art everyday and bond with others through my creations. If I am not making art then I am spending time with people I love and my cat, playing games, listening to good tunes or daydreaming about art.

My new interests in animation helped me bring to life my beloved series with the two cats in love and many other animations that explore the theme of love from different angles. The thing that draws me so much to these two silly characters is how dreamy and pure their love is. I understand the emotional nuances of love, the turmoil it can bring and that we have so many other things that we struggle with inside our hearts. Though, the message that I want to send with these two characters is that healthy love is a safe place where you can be yourself, heal, grow, indulge in affection and simple joys. It's not complicated or out of reach, the standards are literally set by two cartoon cats in love."
