NO FARMERS, NO FOOD

Farmers from Punjab and across India are protesting in the capital of Delhi against the agricultural bills passed by Prime Minister Modi. These bills will collectively privatise the agricultural system, making farmers vulnerable to corporate exploitation.

More than half of India's workforce is built up of the very farmers it is currently ignoring - leading to unemployment, poverty and even suicide. As farming conditions worsen, the suffering that our elders and families are facing will rise!

We at Mush Studio strongly believe it is our duty to help the with the protest as it is our ancestors who worked day in, day out on these very farms that are now in danger of being destroyed.

The printed tee will help spread the word on what is going on in India, which is currently being ignored by many major TV broadcasters across the world. All profits made by Mush Studio will be donated to the Sahaita Farmer Support Project which focuses on the struggles in which the farmers and their families are facing and help aid in the cause.

The organisation focuses on helping the most vulnerable of families in this crisis, where struggling farmers are even going as far as taking their own lives to escape from debt and depression, leaving behind hopeless families to fend for themselves.

Sahaita has developed a financial and educational support system to ensure that families are not overwhelmed by the loss of their loved ones. With the support of donations they are able to cover costs of school education and also provide food rations and other basic necessities to those in need.

As well as this, Sahaita are working towards proactively tackling the issue of suicide through meditation programmes and providing education seminars on crop diversification and financial management.
