Born in Lagos - a home and breeding ground to some of Africa’s greatest creatives, WES7AR 22 (pronounced ‘Westar Twenty Two’) was exposed to a rich range of art from his infancy. His passion for music followed him throughout his education and although he pulled out from his undergraduate Physics degree at the University of Lagos, he instead graduated into his falling - Music.
Following the music-based path that unfolded before him, WES7AR 22 moved to Accra to kickstart his career. His raw and resonant voice accompanied by his inclination towards melodious hooks and musicality made him an instant hit in Accra’s underground music scene. Catching the attention of London production and recording house 4PLAY, WES7AR 22 is now musical family with the likes of East London collective, NSG.
Armed with a distinctive voice, captivating sound and a stellar personality, WES7AR 22 is poised to be the next household name from West Africa.
