Delivering a wave of experimental sounds to the African continent, is the musical creative Marince Omario. An exciting new talent from the shores of Ghana, blending sounds of alternative hip hop with a unique twist of youthful Ghanaian flows and melodies. Merging music from various genres he listened to growing up, Marince has his own distinct style which he terms as ‘fu’.
Releasing two solo projects in 2020, ‘Oblitey’ EP, an introspective body of work about living and growing up in Accra, followed by his ‘Tsotsoo’ EP, a love story in honor of his grandma.
Marince is also part of the musical collective Asquad, which he founded in 2014 and made up of The ART, Humphrey Musiq, Larry Manuel, Clarence DVS, Last Born, Berd, Badax and producer Joker Nharnah.
DSTNGR is a music, fashion and culture movement based out of London, United Kingdom. We take pride in making sure we identify and highlight genuine talent from around the globe. On Friday 25 June 2021, we host our live music showcase ‘Discover Live’ in Accra, Ghana.
