Django Django are a London based act who formed in 2008 and are signed to Because Music. They've released four albums and have toured throughout Europe, Australia & North and South America.
As a band we normally come up with merch ideas based on our album campaigns. Here we thought it would be nice to break out of that a bit and do something that we were really into and would wear ourselves. We came across the work of Jonatan Florez and loved the DIY aesthetic reminiscent of old flyers and fanzines in his art. His work has a strong sense of symbolism and also a strange dreamlike quality which we really loved. Jonatan’s snake and hand image was amalgamated with a font he had on another piece to make up the final design.
Jonatan is a Buenos Aires based artist. He did a nice interview here where he talks about his inspiration and process....
