María Medem (Spain, 1994) started self publishing her comics after studying Fine Arts.

She currently works as an illustrator and produces comics and zines.

She published her first long story, Satori, with Terry Bleu, an Amsterdam based publishing house, and has released her graphic novel Cenit with the Spanish publisher Apa Apa Cómics and Echos with the french Fidèle Editions.

Her work has appeared in anthologies such as Now (Fantagraphics), CC04 (Cold Cube Press) and Colorama Clubhouse (Colorama).

She has illustrated for the New York Times, New Yorker, Bloomberg Businesweek and Palais de Tokyo among others and for musicians such as Bombay Bycicle Club, Jay Som, Alaskalaska or Vera Fauna. 

Phoebé Guillemot, (Québec, Canada) started performing her music in Montreal in 2012 after a few years of experimentations in her bedroom, studying sociology and spending time in British-Columbia.

She's been touring more internationally since 2016 following a year living in Vancouver and immersing in the musical scene, where she fully established the RAMZi World. During that time came out Houti Kush on 1080p and the 2 first volumes of Phobiza Trilogy: Phobiza Dia on Total Stasis and Phobiza Noite on Moodhut. While living in Europe for a year Phoebé released Pèze-Piton on 12th Isle label from Galsgow and Amor Fati, as the inaugural release on her own FATi's Records.

(MM) It was very cool! I listened to their music way before she wrote me, actually I listened a lot to one of her records while working on a very long commission a couple of weeks before she wrote me, so that was very special because that casualties doesn’t happen that often.

(MM) It’s been a very long process because at the beginning I was going to make the cover of her new record, but then everything took more time than expected and suddenly it was summer, I was on holidays, and we delayed the collaboration, the idea was to use some of the sketches I made for the cover on another thing. It was going to be a 2020 calendar, but that couldn’t happen neither haha so at the end we decided to make a tee together. We choose one of these first sketches and adapted it to the tee format, and play a lot with different color combinations as we wanted to use a restricted palette. I found interesting the idea of having a comic in a tee.

To me it's great to have worked with an artist who's music I love and that has been a company for me during a lot of moments.
