Thoughts And Destiny

Every action and feeling is preceded by a thought. This insight has been poetically formulated by Mahatma Gandhi: “Your beliefs become your thoughts, Your thoughts become your words, Your words become your actions, Your actions become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your destiny.” The power of thought is stronger than we may realize. Our thoughts are the starting point for change in any form. Through self-reflection, analysis, visualization, priority making, goal-setting, communication, dedicated work, collaboration etc. we can together create the world that we wish for ourselves and others. Regardless of the goal, positive progress always begins with a willingness to change our habitual way of thinking.

Stephanie Specht (°82) is a graphic designer from Antwerp (Belgium). Having lived and worked pretty much everywhere in her 13-year career (Cape Town, Brussels, Princeton, New York, Antwerp), every single one of these experiences shaped her as a creative person. Her style is best described as design that touches both the rational and organic field. The integration of intuition in her work is one which has become increasingly significant in recent years. The ability to reinvent herself from time to time is of high importance, when the need for change is there she wants to act upon it. Freedom is the most important element in her life.
